Volunteer opportunity available!

AYAC is seeking a short-term volunteer to join our team of passionate individuals who are committed to making Australia a more inclusive and supportive country for young people, and to building a stronger youth sector.

As Australia’s nongovernment youth affairs peak body, the Australian Youth Affairs Coalition (AYAC) provides an independent national voice for young people and the sector that supports them through advocacy, lobbying, research, media representation and professional support for the youth sector.

A newly created volunteer role of Project Liaison Officer is now open and AYAC is seeking a passionate individual to join our team.

The Project Liaison Officer will work with the Policy and Project Officer (Youth Sector) on the development of the innovtive online hub for youth led organisations. Responsible for liaising with and supporting our stakeholders including AYAC members, young people, youth led organisations, and the broader community sector, as well as the procurement and development of resources for the online hub, which in turn, will serve to aid the youth led community as a whole.

Located in Sydney, the position will report to the Policy and Project Officer (Youth Sector), and will be part of a small team, working aproximately 7.5 hours (negotiable) per week through til June 2012.
